HEF provided the funds for the installation of a Sensory Pathway in a hallway of the Hudsonville ECC this past summer. A sensory pathway is a colorful, creative and playful way for kids to release blocked neurological paths and allow the body and brain to refocus. Research has shown that sensory pathways can help increase cognitive functioning and reduce sensory seeking behaviors.
